Mainstreaming of disability inclusion, participation, and partnerships

• [5 May 2020] The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held a virtual meeting with the International Committee of the Red Cross. The parties have discussed bilateral cooperation in various fields such as supporting persons with disabilities and exchanged views on stopping the spread of COVID-19.

Accessible Public Information 

• [22 June 2020] A short video on COVID-19 that is accessible to persons with disabilities has been created by the National Association of Persons with Disabilities in collaboration with the WHO and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.

Social protection and employment support

• [23 May 2020] The Dushanbe Chairman has provided 500 tons of essential food products worth more than 2.5 million somonis for 5,000 needy families, persons with disabilities, patients, orphans, and homeless people.
• [6 June 2020] The Government has provided a one-time payment equivalent to a month’s minimum wage for vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities.
