Mainstreaming of disability inclusion, participation, and partnerships
- [13 March 2020] The Ministry of Public Health has released Afghanistan’s COVID-19 Emergency Response: Environmental and Social Commitment Plan, which ensures that individuals and groups who may be disadvantaged or vulnerable have access to development projects.
- [13 March 2020] In the Preliminary Stakeholder Engagement Plan of the Afghanistan COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health Systems Preparedness Project, special attention is given to persons with disabilities among other vulnerable groups: to give them a voice to express their views, to take into account their needs in activities, and to raise awareness in communities.
- [30 May 2020] In a virtual government meeting, President Ashraf Ghani instructed institutions to create a database of poor people and people in need so that the government could best help them alleviate their hardship.
